Les and Pat Dent started farming in 1975 and as a diversification income started taking in guests to their farmhouse. We moved to Greycroft in1998 when our son took over the running of the farm and we still have some of our original guests returning to stay with us after 27 years!
Greycroft offers bed and breakfast accommodation with two beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms. Both bedrooms are situated on the ground floor (with wheelchair access), one with double bed and ensuite shower over bath, the other has a double and single bed with a shower cubical, both rooms have tea making facilities, cotton sheets, electric blankets, easy chairs, TVs, clock radio and many extras.
| The large comfortable guest lounge with bay window overlooking the garden and hills beyond is available at all times and the spacious and sunny dining room where guests can enjoy an award winning Cumbrian breakfast with homemade bread. |
The bungalow is centrally heated and thermostatically controlled. We are a totally non-smoking household. We do not have a drinks licence, but you are welcome to bring your own. You are also welcome to bring your pets if they will sleep in the car (off street parking available).

We have an abundance of birds visit our garden, including the great spotted woodpecker and other birds in the area include the skylark, herons, buzzards, grouse, pheasant, blackcock and peregrine falcons, making it an ideal location for bird watchers. You may be lucky enough to see our neighbouring red squirrel family who come regularly to play in the garden. The area is also home to many rare wild flowers and grasses including wild orchids and gentiouns.
